Christina: They surprised a lot of people by making the playoffs last season, even after trading away Rajon Rondo. Although they don’t have a star player, they do have a talented group of players led by a competitive coach.

During the off-season, former Toronto Raptor Amir Johnson signed with the Celtics; he is athletic, and connected on 41.3 percent of his 3-point shots last season. Also during the off-season, the Celtics acquired David Lee via trade, expect him to be a solid all around player for the team. During the NBA Draft, the Celtics also added the lightning quick Terry Rozier, sharp shooter RJ Hunter and shot blocking sensation Jordan Mickey. With last year’s success, and the summer’s new additions, expect the Boston Celtics to make the playoffs again this upcoming season.

Michael Saenz, Editor: (Indiana Pacers) Some are labeling the Celtics as the “Baby Hawks.” I’m not going that far yet, but they are good. However, I just can’t see a scenario in which a healthy Paul George can’t lead the Pacers to the playoffs. I’m taking Indiana to capture the 8th seed in the playoffs.
