8. Sacramento Kings

Christina – The Sacramento Kings have put together a pretty respectable roster around Demarcus Cousins – with new additions of Rajon Rondo, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Marco Belinelli; and returning players Rudy Gay, and Ben McLemore. Rondo is a great distributor, and he should help this team on offense tremendously. If the Kings improve their offensive spacing, and defensive presence, they have a lot of potential. Granted there’s no drama in the Sac-Town, of course.

8. New Orleans Pelicans

Michael Saenz, Editor – While I do believe the Pelicans have the opportunity to be better this season (they also clinched the 8th seed last season), the fact that they probably won’t entirely be injury-free until January (their words, not mine) worries me. If the Pelicans aren’t healthy, I’m just not willing to put them above any of the teams to come on this list.
