The Return of Basketball – This might not necessarily be a storyline but it’s been a long time since the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in Game 6 to win the NBA Finals 4-2. That was June 16, or 133 days ago. Sure, we have had summer league and preseason but neither of those compare to regular season basketball. The wait is finally over and basketball is back.

Health – Last season saw Kobe Bryant, Paul George, Kevin Durant and many other superstars sustain injuries and miss significant time. This year, they all start out the season healthy and ready to go. Some superstars such as Kyrie Irving are still a bit away from playing, but so far none of the big name players have sustained key injuries. This time last season George was already lost for the year and Durant was facing a steep climb from his foot injury. If NBA fans are lucky, we can avoid losing superstars to serious injuries.
