6. DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings
DeMarcus Cousins is a man among boys each night he steps on the court. Nobody can stop him when he’s in the post, and nobody wants to be in front of him when he’s charging to the hoop at full speed. “Boogie” is a sleeper pick to win the MVP based on the season he had previously in which he averaged 24.1 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.5 steals per contest.
He had an MVP type season on a horrendous team. This season, his situation has changed a little bit with the team signing key players such as Rajon Rondo and Marco Belinelli, and having George Karl for an entire season.
The Kings will have an optimistic season, and if Cousins can lead the Kings back to the playoffs with a roster being led by him, Rondo and Rudy Gay, then maybe he can win MVP.
