NBA MVP Rankings: Stephen Curry…And Then Everyone Else
6. James Harden, Houston Rockets
Stats: 22.8 points, 5.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds, 18.7 PER
Well, the Houston Rockets lost their first three games of the season. James Harden played bad in each of those games. In the game that the Rockets did win, their fourth against the Thunder, Harden played significantly better.
I suppose that should help his MVP campaign?
His 30 percent shooting from the field and 16 percent shooting from three-point range however, shouldn’t. Especially when the guy that won the MVP last season is playing on an entirely different level right now. Harden has a long ways to go, and winning cures all, but if the Rockets reach the level that many expect them to reach this season, Harden should be in there in the end.
