NBA MVP Rankings: The Emergence Of Kawhi Leonard

In our latest NBA MVP Rankings edition, we take a closer look at the dark horse candidate that is Kawhi Leonard 

After the summer, many expected the San Antonio Spurs to be an NBA Championship contender because of the additions they had made – LaMarcus Aldridge and David West.

What many didn’t expect, however, was that the OTHER player on their roster was going to emerge as a leader on the team – this quickly. He’s the best player on their roster and also the quietest. He’s Kawhi Leonard, who has now found himself as a potential dark horse NBA MVP candidate. Leonard is now the most important player on the Spurs team, and he does it so effortlessly – on both ends of the floor.
