Kobe Bryant has been dropping more hints that this will be his last season, but refuses to say so unequivocally. Hints and innuendo aside, is this Kobe’s last season?

Jason Coldiron: Yes, this is the end of the line for one of the seven greatest players of all time. Despite all his naysayers, I hope everyone can appreciate what he’s done and respect him on this, his farewell tour.

Jay Rosales: No, this is not his final season. He has a big enough ego to want a full-season farewell tour.

Evan Caulfield: I hate to say it, but I do believe this is Kobe’s last year. The Black Mamba just hasn’t found his footing this season and has said numerous times that he’s strongly considering retirement. To me, the only thing stopping Bryant from hanging up his jersey is if the Lakers compete for the playoffs. That why I’m 99% certain Kobe’s retiring after this season.

John Armstrong: I selfishly hope not, but the signs are pointing towards yes … which is why I think the Bean is just trolling us all. He’ll be back for his final tour next season.

Nicholas Hughes: I refuse to believe that this is Kobe’s last year. Partially because he’s been a fixture in the sports world for nearly my entire life, but also because he simply can’t go out in this fashion. Kobe for years stated that when he retired he wanted to go out on top of his game. Granted, he’s well removed from his prime and MVP contention, he still should be able to exit as an effective veteran capable of reaching another All-Star Game (and not just because of fan empathy). If he retires after this season just because of down stats, it’ll feel like he was forced out. That’s not how the Kobe era is supposed to end.

Brandon Osborne: Unfortunately, yes, it looks as though Kobe won’t play past this season.

Michael Saenz: I want to say no so bad, but the way he’s been acting – and talking – recently would suggest otherwise. I don’t think we should surprised either way, however.
