NBA Roundtable: Trades, Kevin Durant Injury Issues And Disappointments
Kevin Durant is out with another injury, this time his hamstring. How many games will Durant miss due to injury and will he be healthy at playoff time in the spring?
Jason Coldiron: Unfortunately, I’m going to guess that he only plays about 55 games this season and will not be healthy when the playoffs come.
Evan Caulfield: My guess is that Durant will miss around 15-20 games by season’s end. However, I do think (and hope) Durant will be 100% healthy come playoff time. OKC management knows how vital Durant is to their title hopes and will take every precaution necessary to ensure he’s fully healthy.

Matt Ziegler: I see Durant missing around 7-8 games with this injury, which is frustrating for my fantasy team! He’ll come back fine and this will not be a lingering issue. As for being healthy come playoff time, I believe Durant will be healthy by then, but that once again the Thunder will have injury issues elsewhere.
Nicholas Hughes: Coming into the season, I was skeptical that the monstrous duo of KD and Russell Westbrook could remain healthy for the grit and grind of a full 82 game schedule. Durant is only slated to miss a couple more games at the most, I fear this won’t be the last we here about health concerns for the Slim Reaper. My guess is that Durant will be on the floor for fewer than 70 games this season.
Partially because of injury troubles but also because I expect to see Billy Donovan air on the side of caution when it comes to his superstars. Frequent rest will likely be in order for both of the Thunder All-Stars, but it won’t go without reward. This type of cautious rest will lead to both of them being ready and able to play when we reach the 2016 postseason.
Brandon Osborne: I really hope that this is the only time he misses, as the NBA is not the same without him. I look for him to be healthy for the entire duration of the playoffs.
Michael Saenz: The evidence is damning, but I hope Kevin Durant will be healthy when the playoffs roll around. I don’t expect him to miss much more time with this small injury. Trouble is when/if it becomes a reoccurring thing.
