Atlanta Hawks
What They’re Thankful For: Mike Budenholzer
Without the rise of Mike Budenholzer and his Spurs-ian philosophies, I’m not sure where the Atlanta Hawks would be right now. Probably stuck in the middle of the Eastern Conference, as they had got so accustomed to pre-Bud.
In just his second year as the coach of the Atlanta Hawks, he led them to a 60-win season and the Eastern Conference Finals, something that they hadn’t done since the NBA realigned. He’s the reining NBA Coach of the Year and a valuable asset to the organization. Despite their recent struggles, the Hawks have to be glad that coach Bud is on their side, and that they’re not scheming against him.
