NBA: Comparing The League’s Stars To Characters From “The Wire”

Next Level: Chris Paul and Daniels are similar in that both are just trying to get to the next level. For Daniels, he’s trying to reach Commissioner, and for CP3, he’s merely trying to reach a place he’s never been before since being drafted in 2005…the NBA Western Conference Finals.

He’s been close – awfully close, even – but it’s still eluded him. And this season, it may be his last legitimate shot to make that dream come true. Flanked by DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin, along with an above average supporting cast, and a future hall of famer in Doc Rivers, Paul might not get a better shot than this season.

If he doesn’t come through this year, he may look back at the 2015 NBA Playoffs as one of the lowest points in his career. The Clippers were minutes away from advancing to the WCF. Then, Josh Smith, who ironically is now of the Clippers, happened.

Either way, Paul is a great leader and teammate, and has accomplished plenty during his 10-year NBA career.
