2014-2015 8th Seed: There was a point in “The Wire” where the Barksdale Crew that we once knew were no longer that; everyone including their leader, Avon Barksdale was either in jail or dead. This left Bodie to make do with what he had to hold on to his corner. Similar to the OKC Thunder last year, without their leader, Kevin Durant, and additional piece of Serge Ibaka, Westbrook was left much like Bodie to make do with what he had to try to hold on to the 8th seed.

Fighter: “This is my corner! I ain’t running nowhere!” During a shootout against Stansfield Organization, Bodie pretty much knew he was going to die, but he didn’t go down without a fight. Similar to Russell Westbrook last season,  when he knew that they weren’t going to get the 8th seed, but during the final game of the regular season, he managed to drop 37 points.

Me Against the World: Both seem to have a chip on their shoulder, and because of that they are not scared of anyone, and definitely aren’t afraid to show it. Russell Westbrook is hungry, and is letting everyone know that he’s more than just a pawn in a chess game.
