Henry Ellenson, PF, Marquette – Freshman

Height: 6-10

Weight: 231 LBS

2015-16 Stats: 15.3 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 1.3 Blks, 31.0 MPG

Draft Projection: Top 10 pick

What he’s good at: Shooting, Rebounding. Just like 2015 lottery pick Kristaps Porzingis, Henry Ellenson has been drawing some Dirk Nowitzki comparisons as well. Are they accurate? Probably not, but Ellenson can shoot the ball with the best of them.

In addition to his shooting, he’s great at using his 6-10 frame to box out and rebound. With great agility, a unique skillset and a 7-2 wingpsan, expect a team to take a chance on Ellenson just like the Knicks did on Porzingis. And if their selection works out as it has for Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks, I think they’d be more than satisfied.

Though, that’s unfair. At this point in his career, considering that he’s still working on his first collegiate season, Ellenson shouldn’t be compared to the Dirks or even Porzingis of the NBA. Not yet. Let’s let him finish his first year post high school first, before we begin to make some of those daunting comparisons.
