They’ve definitely hit some bumps on the road this season, but overall they’re somewhat playing above their expectations. I don’t believe many expected the Magic to do much this season, if anything. The fact that this team is two games over .500, at 11-9, says that this team has improved quite a bit from last year.</p> <p>Orlando is currently 9th in the Eastern Conference standings and would actually be higher if the East was performing as it did last season. It’s not but, even despite that, the Magic are still very much in the thick of the playoff race. They still don’t have much of a prolific offense, but their defense is in the top 10.
