8. Blake Griffin

Stats: 24.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists

Blake Griffin would really be higher on this list had it not been for his team’s struggles to start the year. The Los Angeles Clippers, who appeared to have recovered from their rough start, currently sit at 12-9 on the year. While they continue to have chemistry issues, according to some reports, one of their biggest constants has been Griffin’s MVP-worthy presence.

Griffin is on pace for a career year, averaging 24 points and nine rebounds while posting a career-best 26.1 PER. He’s officially the best player on the team and is the biggest reason why the Clippers aren’t under .500 right now. On any given night, Griffin can post a 26-10-10 game and we simply shrug it off. He’s transformed into that type of player, which actually began in last year’s postseason.

The Clippers will eventually turn it around, even if it means addition by subtraction, and Griffin should find himself higher on this list as they continue to right the ship.
