With one quarter of the NBA season in the books, we rank the top 10 rookies from this year’s NBA draft class

The first quarter of the 2015-16 NBA season is officially in the books. When it comes to this year’s NBA rookie class, we’ve seen a fair share of surprises.

While we knew that Jahlil Okafor and Karl-Anthony Towns would be a certain level of good from the opening tip, I don’t think any expected Kristaps Porzingis to be THIS good THIS early in his career. He has and in the process has lit a fire under the New York Knicks again. They’re competitive in nearly every game and actually look like a team that could contend for a playoff spot.

In addition, there’s a number of other rookies who have successfully contributed in important roles throughout this season. That is also something that isn’t a given every year. While there will probably be only one or two perennial all-stars from this year’s group, we could look back in 15 years and point to 10-15 quality role players that came from the first 20 picks of this draft.

With one quarter of the season in the books, we rank the top 10 rookies so far this season.
