10. Stanley Johnson, Detroit Pistons

Stats: 8.2 points, 3.8 rebounds

With what started as a promising year for Stanley Johnson has tapered off a bit, to say the least. Johnson wowed during the NBA’s preseason and looked like a shoe-in for being a real candidate to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award. However, under Stan Van Gundy, Johnson is only playing about 20 minutes per game, which has limited his production quite a bit.

Johnson is averaging 8.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. His per 36 numbers are actually quite solid – 14 points and six rebounds. He’s been an overall solid rookie for the Pistons. He’s shooting 37 percent from the field and 30 percent from three-point range. There was concern about his shooting prior to the NBA Draft and he’s struggled a bit in that area during his rookie season.

The jumper will come around and shouldn’t be a huge concern for the Pistons going forward.
