On a serious note, the first loss of the season is a blessing in disguise for the Warriors. They aren’t going to go 82-0, but this first loss will help them in the long run. Now that their winning streak is over, they’ll be able to adjust their priorities this season.
Instead of trying to break the 33-game winning streak, they can now give some of their key players rest that they likely need in order to avoid major injury.
For a team that is trying to defend its NBA Championship, going all out every night was never a great idea. In all honesty, the Warriors can’t be taking every night like its Game 7 of the NBA Finals, especially now that they already knows what it takes to win the championship.
