Potential Landing Spots: Celtics, Clippers, Heat

There were rumors a few months ago, which linked Dwight Howard to the Miami Heat. That trade would never happen, but it was fun to think about even for just a while. Plus, I actually like a scenario in which the Heat has a lineup of Goran Dragic, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Dwight Howard – seems fun. It won’t happen, though.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Howard flipped to a team like the Celtics, who are really close to being a dangerous team in the Eastern Conference. Howard could be that player to get them over the top – not as a contender, but as a playoff lock.

The Los Angeles Clippers are another team that comes to mind, mostly because of their rough start. Though, it looks like they’ve shaken that off. Still, a DeAndre Jordan for Howard swap was an interesting idea I came across a few weeks ago. Could still be something to that. The Houston Rockets need a shakeup to their roster, and they aren’t going to trade James Harden. Sorry, Dwight.
