Zach Randolph has had some of his finer moments in the NBA as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies. They love him in Memphis and I’m sure Z-Bo loves Memphis, but it might be for both to move on.

Memphis trading Randolph has nothing to do with his move to the bench. In fact, he’s excelled off the bench for the Grizzlies. It’s more about trying to expand this core’s lifespan by brining in someone that can simply benefit them more than Randolph. And that means someone that can shoot the rock. I can’t remember the last time the Grizzlies had one of those guys. They could possibly use Randolph to bring someone like that in.

On the flipside, it would make sense for teams like the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics to potentially see if they could get in the Z-Bo sweepstakes. Both Toronto and Boston need a player that can get 20 and 10 on any given night – and that’s exactly what Randolph can do.
