In this week’s NBA Power Rankings edition, we discuss the potential of Kevin Durant signing with the Golden State Warriors this summer
Imagine an NBA where the best and second-best players in the NBA were on the same team?
Next season, we may not have to imagine that anymore. That’s, of course, if Kevin Durant, who’s an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, elects to chase NBA Championships and sign with the Golden State Warriors.
And you believe recent reports, that’s a legitimate possibility. If you don’t, why don’t you buy what Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowksi is selling? The dude is the best NBA reporter in the business. Shame on you.
Either way, the Warriors are a real threat to snag the second-best player in the game, to go along with the best player in the world – Stephen Curry. A lineup of Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and (insert center here) would be insanely unfair. Can you imagine stopping two of those players, only to realize the other two are equally as impactful?
If you thought the Miami Heat’s Big Three was not fair, this Warriors Fantastic Four would be even deadlier.
Luckily for the rest of the NBA, you don’t have to worry about that possibility until next season. Unfortunately, the Warriors are still pretty damn good.
Here are this week’s NBA Power Rankings.
