Mark Jackson

Last Job: Head Coach, Golden State Warriors (2011-14)

Eventually, someone is going to give Mark Jackson another shot to prove himself in the NBA. Even though I highly doubt that would be Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks, we’ve seen stranger things.

You can’t deny the fact that Jackson looked really bad the way he left the Warriors. But you also can’t say that he was a horrible coach. He just wasn’t a great one. And that looks even worse with what the Golden State Warriors have accomplished since his departure.

Sure, Jackson might’ve/probably mismanaged the Warriors. He used them all the wrong ways and tried to force-feed David Lee to us. But sooner or later, he’s going to be back in the NBA. And every time a simple head coaching vacancy is available, we have to consider this a potential opportunity for Jackson to make his return to the NBA.

Again, this is probably the unlikeliest of scenarios from the group, but it’s something that could actually happen.
