NBA Trade Rumors: Five Teams That Should Trade For Dwight Howard

Heat Get: Dwight Howard, Patrick Beverley, Marcus Thornton

Rockets Get: Goran Dragic, Luol Deng, Hassan Whiteside 

If the Houston Rockets are looking to make a move on the bigger scale, they could call up Pat Riley – who’s always looking to make a big splash – and really exchange some big pieces.

Ultimately, this deal hinges on the fact that the Rockets would still be interested in acquiring Goran Dragic – they were last year. In this deal, the Rockets would get Dragic – their answer at another playmaker to stick next to James Harden – Hassan Whiteside to replace Howard down low and the expiring contract of Luol Deng.

On the other side, the Heat would get out of Dragic’s contract, that could be a mistake looking back, would get Dwight for the remainder of the season and two guards that can shoot – something that they lack very much right now.

This deal likely falls on the unlikely side of things, but it’s still an interesting option, at the very least.
