In this week’s NBA Power Rankings edition, we discuss LeBron James‘ recent cryptic tweets and the streaking Boston Celtics
As LeBron James continues to toy with the media and NBA fans from afar – by tweeting cryptic messages that may or may not have anything to do with his feelings towards the Cleveland Cavaliers and/or his teammates – there’s a new revelation that has risen from the ashes in the Eastern Conference.
The Boston Celtics.
With no true star presence, even though Isaiah Thomas is a really good player, the Celtics have a formula that has given most of the NBA fits – including the Cleveland Cavaliers. Though LeBron James and company managed to solve the formula most recently, Boston, at 38-26 and as the third seed in the Eastern Conference, continues to prove that they belong with the best of the best in the NBA.
Don’t believe me, just look at the stats.
The Celtics have the 10th best offense and 5th best defense in the NBA. They also have the 7th best net rating in the NBA. They force the fourth most turnovers in the NBA and play at the third fastest pace. There’s something more to this Celtics team than their “easy schedule.”
Are they for real? We don’t really know that yet. We’ll find out in the playoffs. But to simply shrug off what Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics have done this season is a huge mistake.
Here are this week’s NBA Power Rankings.
