NBA Rumors: Despite the speculation that LeBron James could leave the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer, he won’t be the one leaving. It’ll be Kyrie Irving
It seems that with every passing day, we’re growing closer and closer to LeBron James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer.
Though, despite all the noise that is making its way out of Cleveland – via LeBron James or the media – I still find it hard to believe that LeBron would just undo all the healing that he’s brought to his hometown. LeBron, for the 100th time you’ll probably hear it between now and July, isn’t leaving Cleveland this summer – or any summer going forward for that matter.
Is there turmoil in the locker room? Perhaps.
Did the Cavs make a mistake by firing David Blatt a bit prematurely without finding a better replacement than Tyronn Lue? Probably.
However, even with their issues, the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to be the prohibitive favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference and make the NBA Finals. So even with all this supposed dysfunction, the Cavs will still (probably) end up in a best-of-seven series with the defending NBA Champions for all the marbles. And if you’d ask LeBron James – or any other player in the NBA – if they’d take that trade off to not having the best chemistry in the locker room, they’d take it.
And while LeBron James won’t be leaving Cleveland this summer, that doesn’t mean the Big 3 will remain intact. Here is how and why Kyrie Irving is going to be the one on the move this summer, and not LeBron.
