NBA Draft: 8 Interesting Prospects To Watch In Day 1 Of The NCAA Tournament
Taurean Prince, Baylor
(12) Yale vs Baylor (5) – Thursday, 2:45 PM (ET)
Also a senior, Taurean Prince is an intriguing NBA prospect. Prince will probably be projected as a tweener at the next level, standing at 6-foot-7. He has the defensive tools and the shooting touch to do some of the things that has made Draymond Green so effective in the NBA.
Prince averages 16 points and six rebounds per game, while shooting at a 35 percent clip from three-point range. Even though he possesses many traits that make him an intriguing prospect, Prince does have his limitations, which includes his ball-handling.
Though, that shouldn’t be a deal breaker. For the way the NBA has evolved over the last few seasons, Prince should be worth a risk come draft night. In the NCAA Tournament, he’s the stir that will stir the Baylor drink. If the Bears make a deep run, look for Prince to have a great tournament.
