Trey Burke, Utah Jazz
Stats: 10.8 points, 2.4 assists, 41% FG, 34% 3PT
When Dante Exum went down before the season due to injury, the Utah Jazz desperately needed Trey Burke to step up and live up to his potential and become the team’s dependable starting point guard.
That, simply, didn’t happen this season. He’s not even in the rotation most nights.
Burke’s points and assists are down from last season. Even though he’s technically shooting a better percentage from the field and three-point range, the simple fact that he wasn’t able to fill Exum’s shoes this season is the biggest reason why he’s on this list. There even came a point this season when the Jazz were desperately looking to trade him.
In the end, they failed and had to retain him for the remainder of the season. It seems like Burke’s days as a member of the Utah Jazz are numbered. And this season might’ve been the final straw.
