NBA: 10 Players That Exceeded Expectations In 2015-16
Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors
Stats: 21.9 points, 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds
A slimmer Kyle Lowry is the best Kyle Lowry. I’m not saying that’s the only reason why he’s posting career highs in points, rebounds, overall shooting percentage and three-point percentage, but you can’t make the argument that it’s not the reason why.
You can actually make the argument that the Raptors have the second and third best players in the Eastern Conference, behind LeBron James. It’s not that outlandish of an idea.
And because of DeRozan and Lowry’s unforeseen jumps this season, the Raptors are sitting in the second seed of the Eastern Conference, just 1.5 games back of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
