NBA: 10 Players That Exceeded Expectations In 2015-16
Kemba Walker, Charlotte Hornets
Stats: 21.3 points, 5.3 assists
The Charlotte Hornets have been much better than most expected them to be this season, even without Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and a big reason why is Kemba Walker.
This season, Walker is averaging a career-high 21 points and five assists on 43 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from three-point range. But, it gets better. He’s been even more efficient since the NBA All-Star break, in which the Hornets are 13-4.
In those 17 games, Walker is averaging 24 points and six assists on 47 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from three-point range. He’s also one of the main reasons why Charlotte is in the thick of the Eastern Conference race for the third seed.
