Chasing History
The Golden State Warriors’ historic season has been the biggest storyline in 20 years. The play of Stephen Curry has dominated headlines, making phenomenal years from Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard look pedestrian by comparison. And then, there is the quest of 73 wins. We’ve watched with our eyes peeled as the Warriors bull through their schedule, b-lining straight for history.
But will they win nine out of their final 11 games and break the Bulls record? Their best chances at defeat come on March 25th when they welcome the Dallas Mavericks to Oracle Arena. The Warriors host the Celtics on April 1st and Portland, a team they’ve lost to already, on April 3rd.
Bizarrely, they play San Antonio and Memphis twice apiece in the final week. So, the competition is stiff, but many games are in the Bay Area. And Golden State is unbeatable at home. Literally.
