Golden State Warriors: Breaking Down The Final Six Games Before History
April 5th: Minnesota Timberwolves
Their following game will be against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Already eliminated from the playoffs, the Wolves won’t have anything to lose in that matchup. From a competitive stand point, it is a challenge for the Warriors as it is their game to lose.
Unless the game is a blow-out early in the second half, the Wolves aren’t likely to fold down the stretch. For Golden State, it will likely be the biggest test of their composure to play focused at this point in their run.
Also, it is the last time that the young Minnesota core of Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, and Zach LaVine will have to play against an elite team this season. After a year to develop, the Wolves will use the game to see how far they’ve come along as a team.
Golden State will play the game like history is on the line. But Minnesota will play it knowing that it’s one of the most important building blocks for their future.
