April 13th: Memphis Grizzlies

The defending champions are chasing history, but it’s not on their side on April 10th. Assuming they fall in San Antonio, they get one more chance to break the record when they play the Grizzlies on the 13th.

All the pressure would be on them if they are still in the chase for 73 by this point. After their trying week, they will be playing at home for the final night of the regular season.

There is also the factor that Memphis is expected to be in a tight race with Portland for the fifth seed in the West. Fatigue will play a big part for Golden State as the importance of rest will be weighed against the record.

Whether the Warriors reach 72 or 73, or settle for chasing only the Larry O’Brian trophy, there is no doubt that the team has put on one of the best shows in NBA history.
