All eyes are on college basketball during the month of March (and a little bit of April). From the diehard fanatic with the mini hoop in his cubicle to Jane from accounting who likes teams with cute mascots, everyone is watching.
Which means it’s the perfect time for players to climb the lottery latter.
And there’s plenty on the line. An early lottery pick makes about twice as much, or $2 million more in their first year than a late lottery pick. So yeah, a good performance in the tournament could help lead to a big paycheck, even if the NCAA isn’t signing it.
