14 of 20

61 At MSG

Madison Square Garden, the Mecca of basketball. In one of the most historic of arenas, Kobe Bryant made it his Feb 2, 2009. In a 126-117 regular season victory against the New York Knicks, Kobe dropped 61 points, which at the time became the most points scored by a single player at MSG.

Since then, Carmelo Anthony has broke that record (62 points) but it was a great moment to see Kobe break Bernard King‘s record of 60. Kobe also added three assists and one block to his 61-point record-breaking performance.

He went a perfect 20-of-20 at the free-throw line and went 19-of-31 from the field. Kobe has scored at least 60 points five times in his carer, but not many were more memorable than that February night at MSG.

Well, maybe dropping 81.
