Getting His Ultimate Lakers Moment; Beats Boston In NBA Finals

It wouldn’t be right if Kobe Bryant would’ve went his entire career without getting his own Lakers-Celtics moment. And during the 2007-10 years, he got his. First, it was the Boston Celtics besting the new-look Lakers, which were led by Kobe, now the NBA’s best player, and Pau Gasol.

Two years later, however, the Lakers would get their revenge. After falling down 3-2 in the series, the Lakers stormed back to win Games 6 and 7.

If beaten the Boston Celtics in Game 7 to win the NBA Finals isn’t cementing his legacy as a Los Angeles Laker, I’m not exactly sure what is. Oh, and Kobe also won his second NBA Finals MVP. He also didn’t mind passing Shaq in the ring count.
