Youngest To Start In NBA All-Star Game
During the 1998 season, Kobe Bryant became the youngest player to ever start in an NBA All-Star Game, at the age of 19. Ironically, even with being the youngest player on the court, Kobe finished with a game-high 18 points.
I’m not sure how much better his All-Star debut could’ve gone. I mean, I suppose he could’ve won the MVP, but I don’t think anyone was voting for him over Michael Jordan. Either way, Kobe would go on to make 18 All-Star teams, including in every year from 2000-2016. Amazing.
It all started with that first one in 1998, though.
