Paul George Leads Pacers Upset Over Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have spent the better part of the season poised to be the Cinderella story of the Eastern Conference.

Toronto finished the regular season one game behind the Cavaliers and have looked to be the biggest threat to topple LeBron James and company, yet no one was talking about or giving them any credit. We may know why now.

The Pacers, on the other hand, looked as if they might miss the playoffs entirely. The squad having undergone many changes since being the top seed in the East and threatening the run of the Miami Heat in years past.

Someone forgot to tell the Pacers about the script as Paul George had a dominant game on both ends of the floor to lead an upset of the Raptors 100-90 on their home floor. In his first playoff game since his leg injury, George finished with an impressive 33 points.

Even more shocking, DeMar DeRozan had only 14 points while Kyle Lowry had 11 on a paltry 3-13 from the field.

After a breakout season for the team, another early playoff exit would be devastating for the franchise considering that DeRozan is set to be a free agent this summer. Again, it’s just one game.
