Portland Trail Blazers
What a fight this team put up this NBA postseason. They lost to the reigning NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors, in five after dismantling their high-caliber defense game-after-game. They also beat the Clippers 4-2 in the first round.
After losing four of their starters from last season, the Blazers managed to create one of the NBA’s top backcourts, and we will see them back next year.
The next move for the Blazers is to create a dominate frontcourt. Mason Plumlee has transformed nicely into a center that they like because his hustle, rebounding and shot blocking. But this Blazers team could really benefit from a proven (veteran) frontcourt player.
My move for Portland is to attempt to sign power forward Ryan Anderson from New Orleans. He is a proven three-point threat and can add an ideal stretch-four.
With that said, a lot of what Portland decides to do in free agency depends on what they decide to do with Al-Farouq Aminu (UFA), Mo Harkless (RFA) and Allen Crabbe (RFA).
