Late Game Meltdown

What went wrong for the Golden State Warriors, which is usually a feared team when headed into the fourth quarter? Lack of execution. They knew what do to, but they just could not get it done.

Golden State in the fourth quarter was 1-10 from three-point land and shot a disastrous 26 percent overall in the fourth quarter. This horrendous shooting led to ONLY 14 points in the frame which makes this their lowest scoring quarter of the postseason.

Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combined for 18 points in the second half while Durant and Westbrook went off for 37. The Warriors’ superstars were no where to be found when they need them most.

Draymond Green on their disastrous second half:

"“We definitely lost our poise and wasn’t ourselves. That’s for sure. But like I said before, you’ve got to give their defense a lot of credit.”"

He went on to say that the offense became stagnant. He said that the offense is built on screening and cutting, which was lost during that last period of the game.
