2. Brandon Ingram, F, Duke

Ingram is an all-around package of a player. He could fit in with any team and fill any needs.

At 6’10, Ingram can handle the ball, run pick-and-rolls, shoot both off-the-dribble and off-the-catch (41 percent overall on threes on 195 attempts), and attack closeouts.

While it’s hard to nail down his best skill, his shooting opens everything up, another reason he could fit in anywhere. He has a pure, replicable form, uses jab steps and pump fakes often, attacks closeouts hard and makes sure to get to the rim. If there is another defender in the way of the rim, he has a big crossover and good spin moves to get past them.

Ingram has the ability to keep up with guards and the length to defend bigs, although he does need to add some strength before regularly defending the post.

With all the talent, youth on his side (won’t turn 18 until Sep.7), and no character issues, Ingram should be the first overall pick.
