14. Furkan Korkmaz, G/F, Turkey

Speaking on drafting on potential and upside, Turkey’s Furkan Korkmaz falls right into that category as well. However, unlike a few other players on this list, Korkmaz might be a guy you draft and stash.

At 18 years old, Korkmaz has great size for a wing in the NBA (6-foot-7), and is an nice all-around offensive player. He can score the basketball or create opportunities for his teammates, which is often a lost art in the NBA.

As you would expect, especially from such a young player, Korkmaz has shortcomings on the defensive end. That shouldn’t be a surprise. There’s also the question as to how well his game will translate to the NBA – all questions that are assumed when an overseas player is making the move to the NBA.

Again, he’s a player that likely won’t be in the NBA immediately but is a solid draft and stash option.
