Kanter>Ibaka

What do I like more? The thought of the mustache brothers on the court more together, or the fact that Kanter and Adams allows OKC to compete with two 7-footers on the court, or better yet the thought of a Turk and an Aussie basically playing rugby under the rim.

Well, all these sound intriguing, but I am going to go with the second option.

Alongside of his overall struggles on the defensive end in the playoffs (which is normally his bread and butter), Ibaka has not been able to get in rhythm on the offensive end, either.

Ibaka in Game 1 played 36 minutes which was double that of Kanter’s, and Ibaka tallied only 11 points, 11 rebounds and one block. Kanter who saw ONLY 18 minutes of court time in Game 1 had eight points, six rebounds, a block and a steal.

The Thunder were crushed on the boards as they allowed 15 offense rebounds. On top of being better offensively, Kanter this postseason averages 6.8 rebounds in 20.8 minutes which equates to one rebound in about every three minutes. Ibaka has averaged this postseason 5.9 rebounds in his 32.1 minutes per game which is equal to one rebound in over five minutes of court time. That is pathetic, Ibaka.

Kanter needs more time.
