Fastbreak Opportunities

Russell Wesbrook ignited the crowd with his flying dunks and between the legs passes in transition.

Up 24 with 7:20 left in the third quarter, Kevin Durant rose up denying Harrison Barnes a lay-up which led to the transition pass to superstar teammate Russell Westbrook. Westbrook went in for an easy two which put the Thunder up 26. If not before then, the Warriors now knew that Game 3 had slipped from their grasp.

This was just one instance, though. The Thunder had 29 fastbreak points and secured 41 defensive rebounds. WOW.

Throughout the playoffs the Thunder AVERAGED 17.7 fast break points, and they were the top transition team in the postseason. They surpassed that by over 10 points tonight. On top of that, the Thunder had more defensive rebounds than the Spurs, Grizzles, Pistons, Hornets and Mavericks averaged total rebounds.

The rebounds lead to the fastbreak which in turn led to their blowout victory on their home floor.
