New York Knicks- No. 4 pick: Kristaps Porzingis

Redraft: D’Angelo Russell

Entering this draft, the Knicks, which made their fanbase cry by drafting Porzingis, made the best possible move they could. Porzingis turned into a monster and was highly loved by his New York fans. He was so loved that his jersey sales soared unto fourth most in the NBA.

Too bad that in this redraft, Porzingis is the second player taken; so, the Knicks who would have loved Russell to fall to them now get him. Russell would be a good fit in New York.

With Jose Calderon, the starting point guard for the Knicks, aging quickly, D’Angelo Russell could have provided a much needed spark to the New York area. Russell did well in LA as he was nominated to the All-Rookie Second Team.

Russell put up good numbers in his rookie season with the Lakers. He averaged 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game – all of which are solid for a rookie.

Russell would’ve brought hype wherever he went; most importantly, he would have helped the Knicks revive their franchise.
