With a huge Game 7 on deck, we look forward to what the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder each need to do to win

BANG! BANG! BANG!

That is all the announcers said after an incredible game by Golden State Warriors star shooting guard Klay Thompson in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals.

His 11 threes were the most in a single postseason game in history.

He is now getting “one of the greatest shooting guards ever” thoughts, too.

Combined with the MVP’s also stellar performance, it was enough to force a Game 7 which will be in Oracle Arena Monday night.

From the smallest NBA fan to one of the best current point guards in the game, everyone knows that Game 7 will detail an incredible display of historical greatness and will certainly be one for the record books.

What is at stake?

For the Thunder, Kevin Durant re-signing is potentially at stake, and for the Warriors a defeat would almost be a slap in the face to such a historically incredible season.

Why the Thunder will win?

Shockingly, the Thunder actually shoot two percent better on the road than at home. This is odd from a team, but in their current predicament it is also helpful.

The Thunder have shown resilience this postseason when most thought they had no shot to be in the Western Conference Finals, let alone vying for a Finals berth. OKC won Game 2 and Game 5 IN San Antonio. Let me remind you that San Antonio was tied for the best home record ever this season, at 40-1, AND the Thunder won Game 1 in Oracle.

Three HUGE playoff road wins for the Thunder so far this postseason, and this is a key reason because they know how to win on the road. Do not count the Thunder out yet.

Why the Warriors will win?

Well, for starters, they did go 73-9 this season while being 39-2 at home. Being 8-1 at home during the playoffs compared to a lousy 3-4 on the road, home court advantage will play a huge role for the Warriors in this Game 7.

Averaging 4.9 points more and 3.3 percent better from the field, the Warriors have so far excelled at home this postseason.

Also, the momentum is on their side. It sounds fake or cliché, but in basketball if you win two straight you start to believe. Now, in front of their home court, they believe. History will be make on Monday if they can pull out this must-win Game 7.
