2. Golden State Warriors

If you can’t beat them, join them. If Kevin Durant wanted to all but guarantee himself a championship next season, he would sign with the Golden State Warriors. Golden State would likely be unable to re-sign Harrison Barnes and would probably have to trade Andrew Bogut, but it’s doable.

Question is, would Durant be willing to take the hit on his legacy in order to jump to a winning team. My guess is no, but it might be the only better move than to re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Imagine how the NBA would react if the back-to-back defending champions were to sign the most coveted free agent? We might as well start the lockout now.
