7. Eric Gordon, New Orleans Pelicans, Unrestricted

2015-16 Stats: 15.2 points, 2.7 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 42 FG%, 38 3PT%

Eric Gordon is a vastly underappreciated player in the NBA. He is not talked about much, but when he is on the floor, he is a solid scorer, perimeter threat and secondary distributor. However, Gordon can’t stay on the floor and that has been a recurring issue throughout his career.

After being acquired by the then New Orleans Hornets in 2012, Gordon seemed like a sure-fire star. Coming off averaging 22 points per game in his third season, Gordon was set to be the face of the Hornets franchise. However, through his five year tenure, Gordon played only 241 out of a possible 410 regular season games. Gordon simply can’t stay on the floor.

While he definitely fits the injury-prone label, Gordon can provide valuable minutes either starting or off the bench for whatever team decides to pick him up. Gordon is a valuable player in the league due to his floor spacing and distributing ability.

It has been reported that Gordon will not be returning to the New Orleans Pelicans, and that is he interested in heading to his hometown Indiana Pacers. Whoever signs him should be weary of Gordon’s injury risk, but knows that he will provide consistent production when he can.
