In our latest 2016 NBA mock draft, the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers get their franchise players and the Phoenix Suns reach in the top 5
Now that the 2015-16 NBA season is officially in the books, it’s time to shift all our attention to the NBA’s offseason. And it’s here quickly.
Quietly, the 2016 NBA Draft has snuck up on us – it’s only a few days away. With teams continuing to smokescreen the heck out of each other, trying to inch their way to securing the prospect of their liking, we’re beginning to see how this year’s draft could shape itself.
However, the Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers really control what happens initially. With the top 2 picks, those two franchises will dictate whether there’s a shakeup at the top of it, and whether we see any huge trades.
Assuming they will take the unanimous best and second-best players from the pool – Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram – the draft really begins when the Boston Celtics go on the clock at No. 3.
And this is where we can see the first curveball of the night. This is also the part where we can see a huge trade.
As we enter into the final week before the NBA Draft, here is our mock draft 2.0, where we see a few teams take a chance in the first round.
