1. Philadelphia 76ers

Pick: Ben Simmons, F, LSU

There really isn’t much to discuss here, and this shouldn’t be much of a debate either. If the Philadelphia 76ers truly believe that Ben Simmons will end up being the best prospect to come out of this draft, he needs to be the pick.

Even though I don’t like the fact that he isn’t going to workout for anybody (at least for now) before the draft, I still believe he will ultimately be the pick for the Sixers.

He can play the point-forward, which will do wonders for a team that doesn’t exactly have a point guard at the moment, and would fit into the prototypical small ball power forward. If this is indeed the pick, expect the Sixers to also trade Jahlil Okafor or Nerlens Noel. Would really make no sense to have so many quality bigs, especially if the front office believes that Joel Embiid will be able to play this upcoming season.
