NBA Mock Draft 2016: 76ers, Lakers Get Their Guy; Suns Reaching?

24. Philadelphia 76ers

Pick: Malik Beasley, G, Florida State

Now that the Philadelphia 76ers have their guy in Ben Simmons, it would be wise for them to add some offensive fire power, or at least the potential of it. That’s where Malik Beasley comes into play for the Sixers.

Beasley isn’t going to light up NBA defenses immediately, but he did show glimpses of potential during his tenure with Florida State. He’s 19 and has prototypical NBA size. He can shoot from deep and has the ability to body up and play solid defense. He still has a way to go as a player, but the potential is there.

And it’s not like the Sixers need NBA-ready players anyways.
