Phoenix Suns

PHX gets: Corey BrewerPatrick Beverley

HOU gets: Eric Bledsoe

Remember how I said that Houston is always looking to get a veteran PG? Well, veterans aren’t all old and ‘washed up’. In Bledsoe’s case, he’s just coming off a torn meniscus in his knee. If I’m a Rockets fan, I’d feel much better about this trade than the one they did for Ty Lawson. What makes it plausible is that Bledsoe’s name has been floated around in trade rumors recently.

Bledsoe is electrifying to watch. He’s a scorer at heart, but can facilitate an offense. If he can learn to share with the Beard (James Harden), Houston becomes that much more dangerous.

Phoenix is in rebuild mode, but this move works more to their advantage believe it or not. The move would allow Knight to become the full-time starting PG, allowing Devin Booker to be the starting 2, and Beverley to the bench where he belongs (I don’t mean that in a condescending manner, he just performs better off the bench and when he’s asked to do less).

Corey Brewer could start for Phoenix if they so desire and then become trade bait later in the 2016-17 season.
